Zebra mussels are established in Lakes Lillinonah, Zoar and Housatonic in the Housatonic River, and the Twin Lakes in Salisbury. These mussels can impact the ecosystem, foul boat hulls and engine cooling systems. Their shells are sharp if stepped on.
