Chris Knode has been involved in printing, one way or another, for forty years. Originally he was VP of Marketing for Raytech Industries where he was responsible for all design and production of catalogs and newsletters. Since then he has worked in sales or management for both sheetfed and web printing operations. Prior to Turley he worked for Star Press, Bordeaux Printing and Pond Ekberg to name a few.
Sales is only one part of his responsibilities at Turley; he also supervises the commercial printing estimating/bidding department. Chris’ aim is to always help customers find the best printing format to economically achieve their marketing objective.
He has been a part of the Turley family since 2005.
With a BA in English, Peter Howard began his career in the printing and publishing industry in 1986, first as a reporter for Imprint Newspapers in West Hartford, CT, and later as an advertising sales rep for the same company. In January of 1998, he further excelled, accepting the position of General Manager, responsible for all employees and operations of the facility with 88 employees. He left Imprint in the fall of 1998 and joined Turley Publications soon thereafter. His primary market included Connecticut until 2013, where his duties expanded to incorporate Central & Eastern Massachusetts. “The world of printing and publishing has changed considerably since I began, but the fundamentals hold true. Despite the turmoil of the daily newspaper business, and the ultimate demise of many in it, the world of community newspapers and magazines remains vital, and I believe that it shall continue to do so. I also believe that Turley Publications is my second family, and I am thankful for my time here.”
Peter resides in Eastford, CT and joined Turley in 1999.
Bob is one of those people who have ink in their blood. Starting in 7th grade and continuing through both undergraduate and master¹s degrees, he has been involved with printing in one way or another. Originally from Oswego, NY, Bob came to New England to teach Printing and Graphic Arts at Fitchburg State University. From there he moved into industry at Wang Laboratories, running the home office training program. Leaving Wang he joined his wife at GAMA Graphics his family owned phototypesetting business. While there, it
turns out that he was one of Keith Turley¹s first customers. It's also where he first caught the cold web/newspaper printing bug. Because of that, it only made sense for him to then join the cold web printing operation at Mass Web Printing, where he served as sales manager for over 16 years. Bob's move to Turley Publications in August is, as he describes it,
like being a kid in a candy shop. With all its capabilities, and Bob's printing knowledge, Turley Publications is the first place where he has access to cold web, heat set web, sheet fed, bindery services, mailing, art/design services and an advertising agency all in one place and all at his finger tips to help create some great solutions for the clients he serves. 'Wow' is the only way he can describe it.
Bob looks forward to helping you with your printing, marketing, and design challenges.
